Created in Substance Designer, rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3.
My Final Major Project at De Montfort University. Inspired by the likes of Alien and industrial spaces I set out to created a grounded and lived in Sci-Fi environment. I wanted to focus on art directing and narrative when creating the space alongside exercising my technical abilities in modelling, texturing, etc.
I was responsible for all aspects of the project from concerting and look development to production and management to final outputs and submission. Working independently I managed my time and prioritised tasks and milestones over the twenty week course of the project.
Alongside the artistic goals for the project I had to juggle technical demands in Unreal Engine such as draw calls, LODing and lighting to meet framerate. I also added a number of interactive functionality as the player explored the space through Blueprints and Matinee.
